WENSUM in 2026

Issue 10 is the last issue of 2025 and will also be the last edition of the digital magazine for the forseeable future, but new pieces will still be available to read on the first of every month as usual here on the website. While we’re proud of the magazine, the readership numbers compared to the website simply don’t justify the time and energy spent creating it.

With that being said, we’re planning on using the time we spent on the magazine to improve our social media output, make the website the best it can be for all devices, and explore the possibility of creating a simple app version of WENSUM.

The goal of the digital magazine was to enable readers to experience quiet and contemplative literary works in those little in-between moments when you have ten minutes here, half an hour there. We’re hoping a streamlined mobile/tablet experience will better achieve that goal.

Working in the digital space means that things are constantly evolving and changing, which is both exciting and scary, and we hope you enjoy whatever WENSUM becomes in 2026!
